Tattoo Aftercare with Bacitracin

(Bacitracin is given free with your tattoo at Tattoo Mafia)

1. Do not touch Tattoo without thoroughly washing hands with antibacterial soap.

    

2. Remove bandage after 1 hour and wash surface of tattoo with antibacterial soap containing no color or perfumes. Remove any blood or body fluids from the surface, this will speed the healing process and prevent possible scabbing. Just use your hand when washing throughout the whole healing process. (Directions may not apply to clients on bloodthiners, or that have a diagnosis of diabetes or blood disorder. Ask your Artist for more information.)
    

    

3. Apply a very small amount of Bacitracin (that we supply free of charge). Massage into tattoo until shiny surface disappears. Note: Overuse of ointment will cause the ink to rise to the surface, resulting in a faded tattoo. Continue to use ointment 3 times a day for 3 days. Note: Overuse of ointment may cause skin irritation, such as pimples on and around the tattoo.
   

   
    

4. After 3 days of ointment, switch to color and sent free lotion i.e... Lubriderm, Cruel etc... Use lotion until dry skin is gone. DO NOT pick dry skin or itch tattoo while healing. Note: This will leave holes in your tattoo and will result in touch up @ your expense.

   
   

5. During your healing process, showers are fine. DO NOT soak in bathtub, hot tub, sauna, go swimming or tanning. Average healing time is 2 weeks, this will vary due to age, health, if your tattoo is color or black and grey and location of the tattoo.

Emu Oil & Emu Aftercare

Revolutionary Aftercare for Piercing, Stretching and Tattooing.

Emu Oil is used to lessen or eliminate keloids, reduce recent scarring, and is beneficial in treating rashes, eczema and psoriasis.  Emu Oil aids in relieving the sting and burn from new artwork or piercing; helps stop itching; reduces inflammation and redness; minumizes plasma oozing; promotes faster healing.

Wash hands before applying Emu Oil

Tattoos - Apply Emu Oil after new artwork is  cleaned to relieve discomfort and reduce inflammation and redness.  Emu Oil will help set colors and reduce plasma oozing.  Use 2 - 3 times daily on clean skin.

Piercing - Gently massage one drop of Emu Oil around the opening(s) of the piercing with clean finger 2 - 3 times daily on clean skin.

Stretching - Apply Emu Oil daily to clean area 2 weeks prior to streatching to help keep skin moist and pliable.  Emu Oil will help strengthen skin to prevent tears and blowouts.  Apply a drop of Emu Oil on new jewelry before insertion of larger gauge to ease glide.

Note:  Emu Oil should not be used on scarification or branding as Emu Oil inhibits scabbing and scarring.
